this fundraising film for the Anza-Borrego Foundation. Chris
Pyle's extensive work in the desert earned him the contract
to photograph and edit this beautiful tribute to the efforts
of the Foundation to save the desert's open spaces.
(2001) - Anza-Borrego Desert State ParkŪ is one of the
largest in the country. It is a place of great extremes, yet
filled with living things and secret corners. The film is an
intimate portrait of the desert; a celebration of wilderness
and of life. This hour-long documentary was produced,
written, photographed, and edited by Chris Pyle and was the
winner of three Emmy Awards: Best Documentary, Photography,
and Original Music Score.
