Guest Book: February 06, 2010 Diane It was with profound shock and sadness when we learned of Adam's passing. He was an absolute favorite person of ours. His sense of humor was always a delight and we'll miss the songs that he always played when we got together. We were fortunate to live close in the Roadrunner and I'm glad we were able to keep in contact after you moved. He assumed the role of corporate fundraising and did a masterful job. I was very proud of Adam and so pleased in his continued efforts for philanthropy in the San Diego area. SMALLEY,
ADAM Dec. 24, 1928 to Jan. 18, 2010 Adam was born in Syracuse,
New York, where he worked for 25 years as a Roman Catholic
priest. After moving to San Diego, where he met his wife of 26
years, Diane Strong, Adam worked at Scripps Clinic and The San
Diego Foundation as a fundraiser. Adam and Diane traveled
extensively, moving to Borrego Springs in 1999 and Mesquite,
Nevada, in 2008. Adam touched many lives and shared friendships
from coast to coast. His sudden passing will leave an emptiness
for all and he will be missed by those near and far.
