Gwenn was a frequent Borrego Springs visitor before becoming a full-time resident with her husband, Rich Caldwell, more than two years ago. She now telecommutes from her Borrego Springs home office and made frequent business trips as a marketing executive for Coombs Marketing in New York.

Gwenn has been involved in many community projects in Borrego Springs and brings new and creative energy to the Chamber.

"My background as a live TV talk show host prepared me well for life’s little surprises. I’ve had a guest faint in the middle of an interview, a blender top blow off while preparing 'Easy Cheesecake,' handled many a director’s plea to 'vamp for me, please!' through my ear-piece when technical gremlins were at play, and endured scary rehearsals when nothing went right."

Gwenn survived it all, of course, and pulled it off with great aplomb. She learned to be fearless in the face of the unexpected. "Life is what happens when we’re making other plans."
