PUBLIC NOTICE
CALIFORNIA STATE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the State Park and Recreation Commission, pursuant to authority contained in Section 539 et al. of the Public Resources Code, Section 11120 et seq. of the Government Code, and pursuant to law, will meet on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the De Anza Ballroom of the Borrego Springs Resort, 1112 Tilting T Drive, in Borrego Springs, California. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible.

Agenda items will include a proposal to construct the “Sunrise Powerlink” project through portions of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in San Diego County.

Information on the Sunrise Powerlink project is available on the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) web site at www.sdge.com/sunrisepowerlink, and on the California Public Utilities Commission web site at www.cpuc.ca.gov/static/hottopics/1energy/a0512014.htm.

NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the Commission will visit various sites along the proposed Sunrise Powerlink route in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park during the day on February 8, 2007. The tour will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Tamarisk Grove Campground near the intersection of State Highway 78 and County Highway S3 in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. No public testimony will be heard and no action will be taken by the Commission during the tour. Members of the public wishing to participate in the tour must provide their own high ground clearance, four-wheel-drive vehicles for transportation.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that any person may file a statement regarding hearing items by writing to the address above or by presenting oral or written statements at the hearing.
