Frugal Coyote Boutique &
Resale Shop is a popular, fun marketplace for “new and used,”
one of a kind treasures,” new release DVD’s, books, artwork and
clothing. We have bicycles, household goods, kitchen appliances
glassware, furniture, lamps lines and bedding, plus so much
more! From our first “thrift shop,” located on Montezuma
Road to our new location in the Center Plaza. This has been
possible through 25 years of continuing, generous donations from
our community and beyond, plus dedicated volunteers who donate
time and effort to make us unique among shops in Borrego, and an
asset to the Children’s Center. It is through this dedication
that Frugal Coyote serves our community. Donations to qualified
charitable organizations are tax deductible and Frugal Coyote
Boutique & Resale Shop is a non-profit, code section 501(C)(3).
Every dollar directly benefits the Children’s Center. The
Borrego Springs Children’s Center provides preschool, full-day
and half-day care for children in our community and after-school
care for Head Start Kindergarten children.

The shop sells 100% donated items, and its
carried just about every item one can imagine: clothing, of
course, but also jewelry, books, furniture and household
appliances. It's even had skis and snow shoes at one point,
which is unusual for the desert.
Started in 1984, over
the course of a year its average enrollment is 45 children.
Primarily the parents are working parents, although some are
parents who simply want enrichment activities for their
youngsters.
