The Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time
(20 hours/week) Administrative Assistant. Duties
include light bookkeeping, database management
and general office. Applicant must be proficient
in MS Office applications and QuickBooks
experience is a plus but not required. Seeking a
candidate that is eager to learn and looking to
wear many hats. $10-$12/hour to start. Flexible
schedule and a fun work environment!

Annual Salton Sea Century Bike Ride "Purveyor of
Safe, Scenic, and Sensational Century Rides on Roads
Less Traveled" Saturday, October 18, 2008 Join the
fun! Support the Riders! The Riders will need any
and all volunteers they can get! This year Shadow
Tour is offering 3 laps, so riders can totally
customize the distance they ride.
This means the rider flow will not be in one
direction, as last year. That means volunteers are
needed to staff up all the rest stops from start to
finish (instead of progressively as last year).
World Cycles is going to staff the "Hot Corner" rest
stop. Bike Wear World is going to assist with
volunteers for at least one other rest stop.
Nonetheless, it is a long day out there and it would
be nice to set up some relief shifts during the day.
